Name: selvi, Age: 34, Gender: F, Place: US
Question: I have twin baby girls 9 months old I give them homemade food like rice dal carrots beans tomatoes potatoes and chicken and give them bananas and other fruits but a friend suggested it is advicable to give bottled baby food such as gerber baby food available in the us since certain vitamins and fiber are extracted from the food which the baby is not supposedto take and when I told him people in india give homemade food he says they are ignorant and the americans have done so much researh and know best . Doctor I need your opinion .

Answer: The food that you are already giving to your children appears adequate and there is no reason why you need to switch over to readymade foods. Food freshly prepared at home has its own unique advantages. Canned or tinned food may be useful for busy parents (especially when both mother and father are working).

Name: Mahalaxmi Kumar, Age: 27, Gender: F, Place: Mumbai
Question: My mother-in-law has been suffering from rheumatic pain for more than 25 yrs. She is more than 60yrs and now she can feel the decreasing resistance and has become very less mobile. Could u suggest any siddha medicine for her? She has been taking lots of ayurvedic medicines, which used to give her relief, but now they too are not able to help her.

Answer: You have already applied ayurvedic medicines to your mother-in-law and so if the following medicines are available at Mumbai, you may try to apply the given medicines. 1. Mayana Thailam, 2. Pinda Thailam 3. Vathakesari Thailam. According to the needs, mix and heat little and then apply the above three items. Give little hot water foamentation. Oral medicines are recommended for fast healing along with external applications only after conducting medical examinations in person.
