  Welcome to Kolam Section!. We are very happy in launching this section as this section reflects our culture and tradition. Kolam refers to decorative artwork drawn on the floor in front of houses and in front of deities in pooja rooms. Kolam is considered as an important form of artistic expression in India. Undoubtedly, the kolam can be called a most essential part of South Indian culture. Mrs. Lakshmi Sarathy's kolams along with the procedure for drawing them will be published in this section for the visitors of Thamizhar Pakkam. Mrs. Lakshmi Sarathy has won many prizes in various kolam competitions in her school and college days and has participated in various cultural programmes in Singapore.
