Rasam(paruppu rasam)
Ingredients
Tomatoes - medium 4 Toor dal - 1 1/2 cup Ginger - a small piece Lime juice - 3 tbsp cilantro - a small bunch ghee - 1 tbsp mustard- 1 tsp Jeera - 1 tsp Water , salt to taste.
Method
Boil the toor dal in a pressure cooker,for one cup dal add two cups of water. Wash and cut the tomatoes and boil them seperately.Fry the mustards,jeera and ginger in ghee. When the dal and tomatoes are done mix them and add salt and rasam powder and boil them again for 5 minutes.Add the fried mustard,jeera and ginger to it.Remove it from flame and add the cilantro and lime juice.Serve hot with rice,
