Cut the onion and tomatoes.
Add 1:4 ratio water to dal and place in a rice cooker.
Put the onion and tomatoes ,tamarind,turmaric,ghee,sambar powder,salt.
(adjust the salt,sambar powder according to your taste)
Wait for 1 whistle.
Switch off the gas and wait for the steams to go away.
add boiled oil with mustard to the sambar.
(Optional:Add the corriander leave and little asafoetida powder and heat for a 2 min.)
