Cook the thuar dhal and keep it seperately.
Cut the tomatoes into small pieces. Take a pan and put 2 or
3 tspoons oil and put 1 tspoon mustard and 1 tspoon of jeera
and 1tspoon of urad dhal and allow the seeds to splutter.After the
spluttering of mustard seeds add curry leaves and tomatoes and
fry for 2 mts. Now add 2 or 3 glasses of water according to qty
of sambar you want. Then add turmeric powder,coriander powder,
sambar powder,red chilli powder and salt.Allow it to boil and
when the raw flavour is lost,add the thuar dhal and the coconut
gratings and garnish it with coriander leaves.Add ghee if needed..
Serve it hot with fried potato curry..I hope u will enjoy this.
This is a very easy sambhar..It is very easy to cook. My husband
loves this very much..
