1. Heat the pan and fry the moongdal for sometimes and add the thuvardal and switch off the gas. Then pressure cook the dals.
2. In a kadai heat some oil then fry onions, greenchillies, ginger, garlic for sometimes until it turns brown.
3. Then add the tamarind water, vegtables, turmeric powder, sambhar powder.
4. Grind the coconut with water nicely.
5. When the vegetables are cooked add the dals, salt, grinded coconut, hing powder and mix it nicely and allow it to boil for 4 or 5 mts.
6. Heat oil in a frypan season mustrad seeds, one red chilli, curry leaves and then add it to the sambhar.
7. Finally add the chopped coriander leaves and the lemon juice.
Note:
* Don't fry the dal until it becomes brown. Fry until the smell of the dal comes. It is not necessary to fry the thuvar dal.
* Don't add too much of Sambhar powder.
