Cook tur dhal till done and mash well. Heat 1 tsp pil in pan and fry fenugreek,urad dhal, coriander seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and coconut. When cool, grind to fine paste. Soak tamarind and extract the water. Now pour tamarind water, salt and turmeric powder and boil till raw smell is gone. Meanwhile saute onions in some oil. Then add onions, jaggery, tamrind water after it is well boiled. Mix well. Add some water if required.[Cooked vegetables can also be added accordingly].Simmer and let it boil. Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves. serve hot with rice
