Wash rice and keep it aside for 10 mins. Put oil into the pan and add mustard and cumin seeds to it. Add cut red and green chillies to the pan. Add onions to the above mixture and fry them till golden brown. Cut tomatoes, capsicum into small pieces and fry them with green peas added to it. Add cinnamon stick and butter and fry it again with salt added to the mixture. When the whole mixture gets cooked add washed rice and fry for 5 mins.
Add 4.5 cups of water to the mixture and allow the rice to cook.
