Coarsely chopped cabbage 1 cup, raw rice 1 cup,green 1 chilli, turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon, chilli powder, salt to taste, oil 2 tablespoons, mustard seeds 1 teaspoon, jeera[cumin seeds] 1 teaspoon, garam masala powder 1 teaspoon,chopped coriander.
2&1/2 cups of water.

Wash rice and keep aside. Heat the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, and jeera when the mustard crackles add the slit green chilli and the cabbage fry for 3 mins.Add the rice, fry for 2 to 3 mins then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and fry for few mins.Add salt and water and cook in a pressure cooker or a rice cooker. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with a Raita.
