Diet Thattai - Crispy Snack with rice
Ingredients
Rice flour - 2 cups urad dal (fried till brown and grind) flour - 1/4 cup Butter - 1/2 cup Salt - as required chilli powder - as per taste Asofoetida(Hing)-little ****No need of oil to fry **********
Method
Make a dough by mixing rice flour/dal flour with all ingredients by adding little water. The dough should be soft like chapathi dough consistency. Then make round balls and press it with a small flat cup, using a plastic cover in between the flat cups. It will be like a flat thattai or otherwise do it with hands. Afterwards make small holes over the thattai with a fork.(so that it will be uniformly crispy). After making all the dough keep it in a flat oven plate(Like pizza plate) and put it in the oven for 35 minutes or less for 375 degrees. Till it becomes golden brown and crispy)If u want u can turn it upside down during baking. This will be really good without oil and u can keep it airtight for atleast 15 days if it remains in the box without going inside the tummy. Try it out and have fun with snack time.
