Mint Rice
Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup spring onion - 1 cardomon - 3 curry leaves - few chilli powder - 1 tsp oil - 3 tsp ghee - 1 tsp salt - to taste For grinding: mint leaves - (handful or small bunch) corriander leaves - (half of mint leaves) cinnamon sticks - 2 no cloves - 4 no onion - 1 tomato - 1 ginger - a little garlic - 3 pods
Method
Grind all the ingrediatents for grinding together raw and make it into a fine paste. Pour three tsp of oil in a pressure cooker and add cardomon, curry leaves, onion, and saute well till the onion becomes brown. Then add the ground paste and chilli powder and cook for about five min till the paste becomes thick. then add rice and 2 cups of water and also salt. Mix well and cook in the pressure cooker. After it is cooked add ghee and mix the rice well. Garnish with fresh corriander leaves and serve hot with raita.
