heat ghee and fry onion, ginger,garlic till soft. Add all the spices and rice. Adjust heat to be able to fry rice till light brown without burning. Add water and salt. Increase heat to bring to boil. let it cook for a minute and turn the heat low. cover and cook for 10 minutes. uncover, let steam escape ,then remove whole spices. fluff the rice with fork. garnish with raisins.
