Prawn with Vazhakai
Ingredients
Prawns – ¾ or if desired -1 Kg Onions – 2 big ones finely chopped Vazhakai/Green Plantain - 1 Ginger Garlic Paste - 3 tps Turmeric Chilly and Corriander powder 2tps Curry Leaves Oil and salt as per the requirement
Method
Vazhkai - Clean, remove the skin, wash, cut & keep aside Clean Prawns, devein, wash well & keep aside. Heat the oil in kadai, add onions and fry till the onions become brown then add ginger garlic paste, stir for some time, add the prawns, a pinch of turmeric powder & Mix well,then add the cut vegetable (Vazhkai)follwed by chilly and corriander powder, and salt as to the taste. Mix well, close the container with the lid. After some time stir it in a low flame, when dry, sprinkle the curry leaves and mix well & serve with finely chopped corriander leaves.
