Besan Flour--half cup,Rice Flour--one cup(8 oz), Salt-half t.sp.,Cumin or sesame seeds-half t.sp.,Butter(used with bread)-one tbl.sp.,hing(asafoetida powder)- a pinch, Water-3/4(6 oz)cup,oil for frying--2 to 3 cups.
Method
Sieve besan and rice flour well and mix with all the above items in order to get a fine thick dough. Now heat oil in a deep frying pan and prepare murukku using murukku maker(choose a disc with three round holes or whatever u like)over a dry small plates and then transfer it to the oil.If u wish u can directly put in the oil. Fry the murukkus on both sides till it becomes crisp by using fine spatula. This is very tasty and easy for those who find it difficult to make the murukkus in traditional (machine made flour)way.
