fIRST OF ALL ROAST HORSEGRAM WITH LITTLE AMOUNT OF EDIBLE OIL TILL THE GRAM TRUN INTO LIGHT RED IN COLOUR.THEN COOL
IT.MAKE THE ABOVE GRAM INTO A VERY FINE POWDER.TAKE TWO TEASPOON OF THIS GRAM POWDER ADD TO A GLASS OF BOILING WATER AND LET IT SIMMER FOR ABOUT 10 TO 15 MTS OVER THE STOVE.AFTERWARDS DRAIN THE ABOVE LIQUID THROUGH THE VERY FINE STRAINER.THIS IS THE BASIC PREPARATION FOR MAKING SOUP/RASAM/CONGEE.
THERE IS A LITTLE CHANGE FOR CONGEE.WHILE POWDERING THE ROASTED HORSEGRAM ADD FEW CARDAMOM SEEDS.AFTER FINISHED PREPARING THE ABOVE WAY ADD SOME MILK AND SUGAR IF NECESSARY.
