This report is to be viewed carefully, but not contemptuously, with his widely perceived background as the CIA’s agent; Why after the last elections, Sonia could have become PM immediately after Rajiv’s assassination, given the wave. Not only did she refuse, but gave clear signals that she would resist her children also from politics for fear of the fate meted out to the Nehru dynasty. I do not think she is playing Abhirami of “Anandham”! With what motive? Could be true that her family in Italy benefited by kickbacks, as widely reported in the Bofors, like any other Indian politicians, but that doesn’t sound well to cast her as an agent of Russia despite the fact that the Nehru-Indira-Rajiv era were pro Russia, nor that she has terrorist links. Wild imagination. But, great, she renounced the PM’s positition and saved the country from internal turmoil. |
